Welcome to the Global View Business Simulation! This semester you will be learning about the intricacies of business while you experience it. Unlike other courses where you learn only the theory of business through textbook and lecture, in this course you will be challenged to apply what you have learned about business thus far and what you will learn from your instructor and the text for this course.

The application of your business knowledge will be made through a business simulation. You and 3-4 other students from your campus will form a team, which will open and run a corporation in direct competition with your peers at your home university and abroad. You will have the opportunity to negotiate contracts to purchase/sell product from/to other teams at universities around the world.

This experience will be challenging, but there is quite a lot of help available to you. You have a dedicated staff of people ready and willing to help answer your questions directly related to the simulation and text material. This is not a "sit back and teach me" course. You will need to be actively involved in the learning process, ask many questions when you do not understand, think ahead, and be prepared. If you are genuinely interested in a career in business, there is no better course to better prepare you and help you to understand how all of the pieces of business (finance, marketing, management, ...) must work together in a cohesive strategy to run a successful company.
