Distributors:

Distributors sell product to simulated retail buyers. They compete for sales in two broad regions, NAFTA and the EU. Competition comes from around the world. Teams will be analyzing strategies from competitors in France, China, Mexico, ...

Distribution-Only-Firms own their own brand but contract with manufacturing firms for the production. They must negotiate contracts to buy product through chat rooms, posting boards and e-mail. The distributors then engage in sales to the simulated retail store buyers in competition with other firms.

Distribution-Only-Firms are scalable and thus they do not carry the same financial and operating risks as do manufacturers. Competition for market share, however, is very keen. Marketing becomes the focus for this firm as well as the development of healthy supply lines.

If you wish to run your teams as Manufacturing-Only-Firms please register this request.

Association Global View simulation administrators and tutors provide excellent online response to all student questions.
