Our Code of Conduct Regulations differ from legal requirements of firms discussed in the Simulation text. Firms caught acting illegally as defined by AGV simulation rules are fined within the scope of the simulation. Firms or individuals caught violating AGV's Code of Conduct may face more severe consequences.

Code 1: All firms are required to have a written statement of ethical standards for the firm. This document must be made public if the firm has a website, kept on file with the company, or held by the instructor. This documentation must be produced in a timely manner when requested by your professor, AGV administrators, or any other participant in the simulation.

All team members are expected to understand and follow the stated ethical standards of the firm.

Individuals or firms reporting violations of ethical standards must provide documentation to their simulation administrators.

In the case of violation of stated ethical standards on the part of the firm or any individual in the firm, AGV will make public this violation in "The Boss" and through public posting boards. In addition, the firm is expected to make a public apology.

It is hoped that the market will respond accordingly to such news releases.

Code 2: Personal Rights. Employees, customers, stockholders, manufacturers, distributors, AGV administrators, professors and any other participant of the simulation has the right to be free from harassment of any kind. This includes but is not limited to, discrimination, defamation, personal attacks, intentional deception, and sexual harassment.

Code 3: Tampering. There is a zero tolerance policy for tampering. No individual or firm is to tamper with the software, or documentation of another firm, investor, or with the programs and software/hardware or operations of AGV. Tampering, as it pertains to other firms, includes but is not restricted to a firm's privacy, decisions, results, website or documents.

Consequences: All violations of code 2, 3 and 4 should be reported to your simulation administrator and to your professor. Firms or individuals will be evaluated by their professor and AGV based upon evidence and documentation submitted. The result of this evaluation will be a determination of consequences. These consequences may include one or more of the following but are not limited to:
