SCORING
100 possible points
There are two broad categories of information that should
be reflected on the web site
1. Information about the company
2. Information about its product line
Judging criteria take into consideration the quality of communication
with respect to the company and its product line, but also features of
the site itself. These can incite and facilitate the customer's purchase
decision.
1. Overall editorial strategy and coherence
(20 points)
The editorial strategy communicates a message about the firm (who we are,
what we sell, to whom we sell, how do we create satisfaction for our customers,
what are our capabilities, etc.).
2. The multimedia
content (10 points)
Firms use language, images (moving or static), and sound to communicate
effectively.
3. Peripheral contents (10 points)
Special information about the firm, FAQ (frequently asked questions),
glossary, archives, etc. (This depends on the imagination of the firm.)
4. Ease of navigation (10 points)
Customers (as well as judges) should be able to fully appreciate, rapidly
and efficiently, the possibilities the site offers to learn about the
company and its product line, as well as being able to move quickly from
one area to another.
5. Presentation and promotion of the product
line (30 points)
The overall graphical impact (slogans, images, tone, graphic expression,
overall graphic quality) should reflect a message (emotional and psychological
impact, strategic coherence) about the company and its product line. The
web site should include a full page advertisement of each of the firm's
leading products (aftershave, perfume). Implicitly or explicitly, there
is a target market, and communication objectives should correspond to
this target market. It is best to do that advertisements be in English
(or judges can select English or French).

loyalty ?
