Our History
Association Global View was first founded in the Spring of 1996 as an
educational Nonprofit organization to deliver an online multi-university
business simulation.
Driven by the success of the original simulation program,
AGV staff and collaborating professors worked to create a complimentary
Introduction to Business program.
Unaffiliated with any single academic institution, AGV
has grown solely through its publicly supported programs.
Dr. Dennis Schlais and Dr. Paul Kinney, founders of the
program, were firm believers in the benefits of hands-on, experiential
learning. In donating their work and effort to the Association, they
brought this fundamental focus as well.
Since its conception, Association Global View has grown
through international collaboration. Today, AGV remains very loyal to
the concept of global community building.
Our Future
AGV continues each year to build collaborative links between universities,
professors and students. Because concern for the student learning process
is at the heart of AGV, curriculum development and research is of extreme
importance.
Each new project that AGV undertakes is a collaborative effort of professors
from institutions around the globe. Product improvement is also directed
by the academic minds utilizing the simulations, ensuring the best in
educational quality and an international perspective in all AGV programs.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Association Global View is to design, implement, and
facilitate innovative educational programs specializing in high technology
delivery of curriculum at globally linked sites. AGV strives to connect
educational institutions to create a learning environment which surpasses
what any single institution can accomplish alone. When applicable, AGV
also works to link the academic and business communities in collaborative,
beneficial relationships.
Educational Goals
AGV believes that education must keep pace with technological innovations
and global societal development. It is also our belief that learning
is best accomplished through hands-on experience. To this end we continually
work to ensure that our programs provide experiential learning, as well
as cross cultural communication. In cooperation with local and international
businesses, and in collaboration with the best minds in the academic
community, each program we create aims at providing a cutting edge learning
environment.
